Our Staff

Most staff members have been with Orquidea since its inception. “My staff are not just employees, they are friends” says owner Maureen Elliott. “I believe that much of our success is due to the wonderful culture of the store. We truly like and respect each other and we all share a love of helping our customers with their wardrobe woes” says Maureen.

Each of the staff members have many years of experience in the retail fashion arena and each has their own unique way of serving their customers. Above all else, they all share a common belief that honesty is the best policy. “We do not operate on commission. I don’t like the feeling I get when I go into a commission driven store and neither do my staff” says Elliott. “We would rather you leave with nothing than a bag of things that you will never wear again. Even if you don’t find something the first time, our hope is that your customer service experience will be exceptional so that you will be compelled to visit us again the next time you need something. We are interested in building our customer’s trust and developing long term relationships” says Elliott.
